STM32F405 ARM Cortex M4 microcontroller module with USB interface



S64DIL-405 is a tiny interface module for an STM32F405 micro controller with USB interface in LQFP64 casing. The module fits to an ordinary 64 pin dual-in-line socket. The module is helpful in experiments, development and prototyping with ARM Cortex M4 microcontrollers.
  • assembled with ST Microelectronics STM32F405RGT6 microcontroller, 1MByte flash memory, 192kByte SRAM, max. 168MHz clock frequency
  • standard 64 pin dual-inline format (0.9 inch row distance)
  • any microcontroller port (USB data and clock optional) is available by the dual in line pins
  • flexible power supplement by USB or external, 3.3V regulator on board
  • oscillator socket onboard (suitable for crystal, 2- and 3-pin ceramic resonator)
  • all components for basic operation onboard (such as resistors and buffer capacitors)
  • ESD protected Mini-USB connector
  • JTAG/SWD connector for in-system programming and debugging (20 pin JTAG standard)
  • directly supported by all Cortex M development environments

The module can be applied in any development system, such as the free CooCox CoIDE.

For In-System-Programming and debugging the low cost ST-Link/V2 and all the compatible devices (such as Segger J-Link) can be used.

The microcontroller can be programmed in the following ways:

  • By the serial interface (3.3V levels!) or USB interface, the present bootloader and the DfuSe software from ST.
  • Programming and debugging by JTAG/SWD interface and a suitable debugging device such as ST-Link/V2
